The free PostgreSQL tools on this site do their work inside your browser tab, which invites a fair question about what is running in there. This page answers it for the 18 third-party components a tool page loads, under 7 licences, each with the copyright notice its authors ask to be kept alongside the code. What the rest of the site is built with is not catalogued here, and we will send you that list if you need it.
Every line on this page is copied out of the packages installed for the deployment you are reading, rather than retyped, so the versions and the copyright years are the ones actually shipped. The licence texts in full are at /licenses.txt. Anything you find inaccurate is a bug worth telling us about at support@seedfa.st.
What the free tools load
3 of the 10 tools under /tools run on our own code with nothing underneath. Where one leans on somebody else’s library, the table names it beside what the library is there for.
| Tool | Third-party code it loads |
|---|---|
| Formatter |
|
| Syntax checker |
|
| Connection string builder | Our own code only |
| Password hash generator | |
| UUID v7 generator | |
| Truncate generator |
|
| Pool size calculator | Our own code only |
| String escaper |
|
| Error code lookup |
|
| Enum migration generator | Our own code only |
Two rows deserve a sentence more. The syntax checker fetches /tools/libpg-query.wasm, and because we serve that binary from this domain the notices for libpg_query and for PostgreSQL cover it exactly as they cover any JavaScript in the page. The error code lookup reaches no database at all; its SQLSTATE table was generated from errcodes.txt in the PostgreSQL server source, which is why the project appears beside a page that only ever reads a code you paste.
Beyond the widget, every tool page carries the same shell, so these are on all of them: next (MIT), react (MIT), react-dom (MIT), geist (SIL Open Font License 1.1), lucide-react (ISC), marked (MIT), react-hot-toast (MIT), @vercel/analytics (MPL-2.0), @vercel/speed-insights (Apache-2.0). Their notices are in the list below with everything else.
Notices
Grouped by licence rather than by package, since one paragraph of MIT covers most of this list and reprinting it under each name helps nobody. Where two projects word the same licence differently, both wordings are in the text file, each under the components it covers.

Our own code
The tools themselves, the seeding engine, the CLI and everything else under the Seedfast name are ours, and none of it is open source. No licence to any of that follows from this page, which also implies nothing about what the projects above think of Seedfast. Each one is listed here for a single reason, that we carry its code and its licence asks us to say so.
